The Purelux Ranger 9 is a striking and powerful 9" auxiliary light, designed specifically for the needs of SUVs, vans and heavy equipment. The light is equipped with, among other things, very high performance, two different power modes, an R65-approved warning light, a dynamic parking light and a stunning design - in other words, everything that could be needed from an auxiliary light. It lives up to its lofty name by producing a whopping 11632 lumens of light output in unlimited PowerBoost® mode and creating an impressive beam of light that can reach up to 840 meters (@ 1 lux). Although rangers are known to not need backup, the light output and beam can be increased even further by installing two or more officers on the roof or front of the vehicle to patrol side by side.
The light has two built-in power modes that allow you to fully exploit the light's potential in every situation: the more moderate power mode can be used on the road, while the full-power PowerBoost® can be used anywhere off-road. The high light output combined with the unique and stunning combination light beam makes the Ranger an unbeatable choice for both front and roof installations. The stylish and detailed design and the dynamic parking light that lights up in orange or white at the top and bottom of the light ensure a great overall look for the vehicle whenever the auxiliary light is not in use, and the bright orange warning light ensures that the vehicle is definitely seen in the dark of night as well as in the sunshine.
Unlike usual, there is no need to connect or disconnect any extra cable to activate the different power modes of the light, but switching between PowerBoost® and road mode is done using a unique selector integrated into the user interface. This means that the power mode can be changed easily and quickly directly, even while driving.
Note! The difference between Purelux PowerBoost® and road mode is clearly noticeable in use - PowerBoost® mode is significantly more efficient and should not be used when driving in normal road traffic, only off-road.
The Ranger's light beam consists of a bright and far-reaching main spot in the middle, surrounded by a wide beam that opens widely to the sides. Unlike many other auxiliary lights, the Ranger's spot is not exactly in the middle of the light beam, but a click higher. This allows the light to be installed on the roof or on the front of larger vehicles so that the spot can be directed far forward and the wider beam that opens to the sides and sides can be directed evenly to the edges of the road and shoulders right from the front. Although the main spot is at the top of the light beam and the rest of the beam is formed to the side and below it, the light beam as a whole is well-defined vertically, so that the light is not unnecessarily lost to the sky, and a dazzling ball of light is not formed immediately in front of the front. Thanks to its distinctive beam, the Ranger 9 is an excellent choice for trucks, construction vehicles and other higher installation locations, but of course it can also be installed on the front of vans or SUVs, for example, and by directing the beam it also fits nicely on passenger cars.
