Our journey to create the Shelter Max started with a clear goal: to provide a compact, user-friendly alternative to our full 270-degree awning. During our market research, we noticed a persistent issue—most conventional car side awnings required at least two people for proper setup, along with mandatory support legs and tie-downs. These requirements not only complicate the setup process but also consume valuable time—especially for travelers on the move.
To overcome these challenges, we leveraged the design principles of the Infinity 270 awning, enabling our engineers to develop a true freestanding car side awning. The result is a product that offers a quick and easy one-person setup, spacious coverage, and optional attachable side walls for enhanced protection—ensuring you spend more time enjoying the outdoors and less time setting up.
