The adapter is required for installation when using electric cooling fans with the BMW M57 engine.

The adapter has sleeves with M14x1.5 thread for the thermo switch of the electric radiator fans and M10x1 for the 1-pin Nissan Patrol Y60 Y61 temperature sensor.
