If the vehicle is raised above the factory height, the deviation of the rear gimbal angle will cause vibrations. By fitting spacer plates between the gearbox mount and the chassis, this angle can be restored to or near the original angle so that the "jounce" of the gimbal is eliminated.
Longer transmission mount bolts are required when using more than 2 plates.
